Features

Everything between pressing record and a video you are proud of.

Ciakko does the editing a demo needs while you record. What is left for you is taste: a zoom moved here, a pause cut there, the background you like.

Zooms placed on your clicks

The automatic zoom follows your clicks and your typing with a smooth motion. Ciakko looks at the button or the window you used and frames that, then pulls back when you move on.

A cursor that looks right

The pointer is drawn again on top of the video: bigger, smoother, with a soft ring on every click, and hidden when it just sits there. Change its size after recording, not before.

Screen, window or area

Record a whole monitor, one window, or draw the exact area you want. Leave the taskbar out. Add your webcam as a bubble you can move any time, and blur the room behind you with one switch.

Backgrounds and framing

Pick a color or a gradient, set the margin, round the corners, add a shadow. Presets get you there in a click, sliders get you the exact look.

Captions written on your PC

Spoken words become captions with the timing of each word, in your language, written by Whisper on your PC. Six styles, from a plain line to big Shorts captions, and an .srt file with every export. Nothing is sent anywhere. How it works

A voice over you type

Record in silence, write each line where it should start, and a natural voice reads it over the video. Captions follow word by word, other audio ducks while it speaks, product names get a pronunciation you set once. 50,000 characters a month included, about an hour of speech. The text you type is the one thing that goes online.

Cuts, speed, dead time

Split, trim and delete on a simple timeline. Speed up any part, and let Ciakko find the stretches where nothing happened and fast forward them for you.

Pauses and filler words, found for you

The long pauses, every "ehm" and "uhm", and the sentences you marked as retakes while recording come back as proposed cuts. Listen, accept with Enter, or keep what you like. How the cleanup works

Cut by deleting words

The Script tab shows the transcript with the time of each word. Select a sentence, press Del, and it leaves the video, picture and sound together. Restore brings it back. Compared with Descript

Chapters, Shorts and a thumbnail

Mark chapters while you record or on the timeline and get YouTube's chapters file. Turn a stretch of the long video into a vertical Short, and make a 1280x720 thumbnail from a frame of the take.

Edit with Claude

Claude for Windows or Claude Code can do the editing for you through a local MCP server: it watches the take, cuts, zooms and writes captions, and each change is one Ctrl+Z away. It runs on your own Claude plan. What Claude can do

Web demos filmed from a script

The built in browser records a web page at 30 frames a second. Ask Claude to film a demo of your web app and it plays a script of clicks and typing at a person's pace while your own mouse stays still.

Even sound, music under it

Your voice is cleaned of steady noise and the mix is brought to the -14 LUFS that YouTube expects. Add one piece of music to a project and it plays under every take, ducking under the voice over.

Wide, square or vertical

Export the same recording for the website, the feed or Shorts. The camera keeps the action in frame in every format.

Fast where it counts

Recording and export use your graphics card, so a long take does not turn into a long wait. The preview shows exactly what the export will look like.

Still images too

Export the frame under the playhead, or one image per zoom block, as PNG at the export size: the screenshots for the landing page and the README, from the same recording.

Yours, on your computer

Recordings, projects and captions live in a folder on your PC. You sign in once with your email, then no upload is needed to edit, and there is no monthly bill.
